1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MailPorter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MailPorter is an email import service that allows users to import emails from POP3 and IMAP mail servers into their Gmail accounts using the Gmail API.

3. User Accounts

  • You must have a valid Google account to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must provide accurate mail server credentials.
  • You may only import emails from accounts you own or have authorization to access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Import emails without proper authorization
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures
  • Use the Service to spam or harass others
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Overload our systems with excessive requests

5. Gmail API Usage

The Service uses the Gmail API provided by Google. Your use of the Service is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We request only the minimum permissions needed (gmail.insert, gmail.labels) to provide the Service.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • We encrypt your mail server credentials
  • We do not store email content
  • We have write-only access to Gmail
  • You can delete your data at any time

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform maintenance with or without notice
  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Impose usage limits to ensure fair access

8. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

  • Lost or corrupted emails during import
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Actions of third-party mail servers
  • Gmail API limitations or changes
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the settings page.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
